She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lee Patterson and Margaret Beard Patterson; and her siblings, Herman Lee Patterson Jr. (Pat) and Doris Patterson Bryant. She is survived by: her husband Will; her children, Mary Beth Duffy (Brian) of Forest, Karen Amato (Peter) of Lynchburg and William M. Sandidge Jr. (Amy) of Goode; her grandchildren, Brent Amato, Colton Amato, Noelle Amato, Hunter Sandidge, Ciera Sandidge and Autumn Sandidge; her great grandchildren, Taylor Weschke Amato and Jayden McDowell; her sisters, Geraldine Hensley (Marvin) and Hazel Mays; her cousin Patsy Leftwich; and her grandchildren, Miyuki, Shiho, Mia and Maren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; foreign exchange children.
