She was predeceased by: her husband Joe W. Lipscomb; her parents, Nannie Joyner and Steven Stinnette; and her siblings, Margaret Ewers and Samuel Payne.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy (Tim Stephens); her grandsons, Dagan (Kristin) and Derrick (Katie); her great grandchildren, Calligan and Gibson; her niece Linda Herring Campbell; her son Craig; and her nephew Neal Ewers (Gini).
