It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Hash Story of Madison Heights, Virginia, born in Nelson, Virginia, who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Dennis Hash and Emma Lee Martin Hash; her former husband William David "Bill" Story, Sr.; and her son William David Story, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Dennis R. Story (Debra) and Pam S. Newbern (John); her grandchildren, Winter I. Jacynyk and Michael P. Jacynyk; her great grandchildren, Andrew Reed, Nolan Reed, Kendall Jacynyk, Rosemary Mott, Hannah Jacynyk, Madeline Jacynyk and Abigail Jacynyk; her siblings, Mary Christian (Jerry) and Robert Wade Hash; her daughter-in-law Susan Story; her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Hash and Charles Story; and her niece Teresa Hash Dobbins (Chess).
