He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Day and Margaret Day. He is survived by: his wife Susie Ford Day; his children, Kimberly Campbell (Chris), Christopher Day (Andra) and Robert "Tony" Day (Ann Marie); his brothers, George Day and James Day; and his grandchildren, Kayla Dodd (Justin), Jenna Brogan (John), Blake Day, Ian Day and Lennon Meadows. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
