He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Maddox and Elsie Maddox; his siblings, Lois Maddox Coleman and Donald Ray Maddox; and his son-in-law David Bernardi.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Maddox; his daughters, Debra Maddox Bernardi and Dana Maddox Burruss (Rodney); and his siblings, Nowlin Maddox (Margie) and Doris Maddox Morris (Malcolm). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
