He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Edward Johnson, Sr. and Ella Francis Coleman Johnson; and his sister Kay Johnson Clark. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Watkins Johnson; his grandchildren, Mya, Giovanni, Kameron, Kendrick, Milani, Richy, Willow and Lilly; his siblings, Bertie Slayton of Lynchburg, Dorothy Johnson Poole (French Poole Jr.) of Lynchburg, Phillip Johnson of Richmond and John Eubank of Madison Heights; his cousin Donetta Jenkins of Lynchburg; his close friend Calvin Hunter of Concord; and his pets, Nelly and Minnie. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request that memorial contributions be made to the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center.
