She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Viar and Odell Viar; her siblings, Warren Viar, Mae Crist and Josephine Shrader; and her daughter Kay. She was also cherished by three daughters, Rachel Wills and husband Malcolm of Elon, Kay Smith and husband Bennie of Concord and Debra Henson and husband Gene of Amherst; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
