She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Sanford Gowen and Edith Moss Gowen. She is survived by: her husband Andrew Jackson Hartless; her daughters, Deborah H. Mays of Madison Heights and Sharon H. Mays (Timmy) of Monroe; her siblings, Bernard S. Gowen, Jr. (Bonnie), Betty G. Dodgion of Madison Heights, Joan G. Foster of Madison Heights and Ellen G. Apperson (Richard) of Madison Heights; her grandson Brian "B. J."; and her great grandchildren, Morgan Campbell, Joel Cash, Wyatt Cash and Claire Wright.
