We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2020, at the age of 82, Melvin J. Martin (Madison Heights, Virginia), born in Amherst, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Connie Martin and Patty Floyd Martin; and his sister Virginia M. Bryant. He is survived by: his sons, Tim Martin (Barbara) of Amherst and Dwayne Martin (Sylvia Anne) of Amherst; and his sisters, Hilda M. Bobbitt (Mineral) of Amherst, Ozelia M. Hamilton (Les) of Madison Heights and Barbara M. Turille (Stuart) of Lynchburg. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
