She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Kay Paxton of Virginia and Aubrey Alfred Paxton; her son Ashley Kyle Marks; and her siblings, Alberta Ophelia Johnson, Jean Tucker, Alfred Wayne Paxton, Daniel Lewis Paxton and Roger Allen Paxton.

She is survived by: her husband John A. Marks, Jr.; her son Allen Lewis Marks (Pam Shirey); her grandchildren, April Aldridge (Robert), Jonathan Kyle Marks (Andrea), Ashley Dawn Skinner (Matt) and Dylan John Marks; and her great grandchildren, Paxton Aldridge, Cora Bell Aldridge, Walker Marks, Grady Marks, Justin Aldridge, Gracin Aldridge and Maddie Skinner.
