She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank B. Ernst and Clara E. Long; her husband Grover A. Goolsby, Jr.; and her siblings, Martin, Jack Ernst, Frances Dawson and Nellie Davidson.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike (Pat) and Alex (Missy); her grandchildren, Laura Cooke (William), Brian Goolsby (Trisha), Meghan and Sarah Goolsby; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Mila Goolsby and Brayden Cooke; her stepgreat-granddaughter Jada Cooke; her niece Mary Harris; and her stepbrother Sam Long (Farmville). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
