We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2023, at the age of 86, Joyce Mae Allgood (Madison Heights, Virginia), born in Nelson, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Johnson Sr. and Dollie Thacker Johnson; her former husband George William Ware Sr.; her daughter Cynthia Ware; and her siblings, George "Benny" Johnson, Lawrence "Lonny" Johnson and Shirley A. Meadows.

She is survived by: her siblings, Clarence (Johnson Jr.), Thomas Johnson (Linda) and Gloria VanSkike (Miles); her children, George William Ware Jr., Charles Ware (Tina), Judith C. Ware and Dianne Minter (Clyde); her stepchildren, Brenda Miller (Mike), Janice Allgood, Donnie Allgood (Darlene), Robert Allgood (Regina) and Pamela Miller (David); and her grandchildren, Kristin, Jenna, Charles, Amy, Michael, Rachael, April, Ashley, Angela, Patricia, Carolyn and Victoria. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church, 4465 South Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
