He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Harris and Oorie E. Harris; his brother Robert Earl Harris, Jr.; and his stepgrandson Kenneth Almond. He is survived by: his children, James S. Harris, Jr. (Connie) and Teresa H. Stinnett (Tony); his sister Joann Shorter (Ned); his granddaughter Ashleigh Schrader (Stephen); his stepgrandson Matthew Almond; and his great grandchildren, Adelyn and Amelia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Union Christian Church or a charity of one's choice.
