She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Stark Garrett and Laverna Dickerson Garrett; her husband John Louis Martin; her daughter Linda M. Maddox; and her siblings, Reuben H. Garrett, Helen G. Ranson, Effie G. Pollard, Betty G. Sligh and E. Lorena Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Martin Brockman of Amherst; her sister Marie G. Harris of Madison Heights; her son-in-law Bill Maddox of Madison Heights; and her grandchildren, Brenton Martin Maddox, Anne-Simms Brockman Deacon and John Michael Maddox. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
