Staton; his husband Rick of Rustburg; his son Herman Staton, Jr.; his wife Sheila of Amherst; his grandchildren, Candace Kanode (Keith), Jarrett Hill, Melissa, Lordahl, Chrystal Turner (Paul) and Betty Gail Barbour; and his siblings, Hazel Campbell, Tully Staton (Elizabeth), Bernard Staton (Kathy) and Shirley Haymore. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
