He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stuart Vanhoozier, Sr. and Cora Herald Vanhoozier; and his siblings, Eugene, Kenneth and Carol V. Leffel.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Lambert Vanhoozier; his daughters, Nancy V. Davis of Round Hill, VA and Brenda V. Dieppa (Vincent) of Amherst; his sister Wanda V. Clark (Trent) of Tazewell; and his grandchildren, Matthew W. Davis and Kathleen A. Davis.
