He was predeceased by: his parent Bobby Gene Archer. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Archer; his parent Iris Estelle Freeman Phelps; his children, Edward Archer (Tara) of Forest, Billy Archer of Madison Heights and Laura Beth Archer of Virginia Beach; and his brothers, Ronnie Archer (Goldie) of Lynchburg and Chester Gene Archer (Regina) of Madison Heights. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
