It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Foster Nixon of Madison Heights, Virginia, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joshua L. Foster and Massie T. Foster; and her siblings, James Foster, Eleanor McClanahan and Gordon Foster.
She is survived by: her husband Holcomb R. Nixon; her sons, Alan Nixon (Glenda) and Scott Nixon (Jacqueline); her grandchildren, Kelly Wall (David), Jennifer Woodard (Mark), Dylan Nixon (Sandra), Dakota Nixon (Carly) and Drake Nixon (Brynli); and her stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Gowen, Justin Gowen and Olivia Wilkins (Connor). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
