He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Leon and Lessie Jane Mays Brightwell; and his brothers, Charles Davidson, Harmon Leon, Jr. and Laywood Jefferson Brightwell.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Earle Cash Brightwell; his children, Sandra Moss (Charlie), Ricky (Doris) and John (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Charles Moss, Vince Moss (Courtney), Victoria Grieser (John), Beth Harker (Andrew), Rick Brightwell (Morgan) and Lisa Schmitt (Mike). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
