It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Layne Bryant of Madison Heights, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Roosevelt Bryant; and her parents, Henry Steptoe Layne and Mary Flowers Dalton. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda B. Taylor of Madison Heights, Wanda B. Coffey (Arnold) of Madison Heights and Tammy B. Proffitt (Timmy) of Amherst; her grandchildren, Willie Taylor (Donna), Brian Taylor (Angie), Andy Coffey (Catherine), Stacey Stinson (Colin) and Matthew Proffitt (Raina); her great grandchildren, Summer Harris (Justin), Hannah Coffey and Cameron Stinson; her great great grandchildren, Avery Harris and D. J. Harris; and her stepgrandchildren, Mikaela Browning (Jonathan), Hank Meeks, Matthew Tyree and Sabrina Zegarelli.
