It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Floyd Millner of Madison Heights, Virginia, born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Samuel Millner; her parents, Arthur Mae Floyd and Eliza Jane Martin Floyd; her siblings, Henry Floyd, Warren Floyd, Arthur Floyd, Irene Staton Shrader, Nora Floyd and Rosa Vest; her granddaughter Rebecca Stanley Adams; and her son-in-law Richard Chapman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Chapman (Liz) of Lynchburg, Linda Stanley (Leroy) of Lynchburg and Janet Tidwell (Kenny) of Madison Heights; her grandchildren, Meredith Chapman, Geoff Cash (Courtney) and William "Leroy" Stanley III; her great grandchildren, Nathan Rice (Casey Jennings), Chris Rice, Kaya Rice, Amber Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Collin Cash and Alexander "Xander" Cash; and her sister Faye Campbell O'Brien.

Memorial donations may be made in Edith's name to either the Alzheimer's Association or the Humane Society.
