He is survived by: his wife Mary Marie Reynolds Murphy; his children, Robert, Sylvia of Madison Heights and Mike (Allena) of Monroe; his granddaughter Sarah Long (Roy); his great grandchildren, Georgia and Cora Sullivan of Chesapeake, VA; his cousin Kirk Murphy (Cindy) of Goode; and his close friends, Frank and Joanne Tomlin of Madison Heights.
