He is survived by: his wife Kate Hamilton Thomas; his sons, Earl Thomas, Jr. and Donald Wayne Thomas; his siblings, Cliff Thomas, Dave Thomas and Betty Jean Layne; his children, Judy Thomas of Amherst, Betty Mae Dickerson of Madison Heights and Larry Wayne Thomas of Madison Heights; and his sister Joyce Burley of Amherst. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
