He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Puckette and Willie Pillow Puckette; his former wife Rachel Wilkinson Puckette; and his close friend Margie. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Joy Puckette of Rustburg; his children, Shirley Edwards (David) of Lynchburg, David Puckette, Jr. (Linda) of Amelia, Violet Esposito (Claude) of Madison Heights and Willie Puckette of Gladys; his stepson Shawn Pillow (Belinda) of Phenix; and his close friends, Becky and Lisa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American heart Association or Rustburg Baptist Church.
