He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lottie Brooks and Dingee Brooks; his son Freddie Brooks; his wife Barbara; his children, Cecil Brooks, Jr. (Deb), Donnie Brooks (Martha) and Wanda McGee (David); his daughter-in-law LaNelle Brooks; his grandsons, Donnie Brooks, Jr. and Justin Brooks (Becca); his niece Becky Lipscomb; and his nephew Bub Brooks. He was also cherished by many other nieces and nephews.
