She was predeceased by: her son Matthew E. Sorrells; and her brother George D. Penn, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Phyllis S. Thompson of Madison Heights, Suzette Peerman (George) of Forest, VA and Dominic D. Sorrells; her siblings, George Napier (Susie) of Lynchburg, Kenneth Penn, Sr. (Debra) of Lynchburg, Wayne Penn (Janice) of Rustburg, Samuel Penn, Sr. (Shelby) of Madison Heights, Laverne Haskins (Ronald), Patricia Watts of Madison Heights and Consuelo Tabb of Madison Heights; her uncle Eagar "Elmer" Penn (Mary) of Madison Heights; and her aunt Maxine Parker. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
