He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Samuel Allen and Julia Wade Allen; his siblings, Charles Allen, Kenneth Allen and Frances Garcia; his half-sisters, Lillian Trent and Vernie Tooley; his father-in-law Frank Evans; and his stepfather-in-law James Gowen.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Allen; his children, Calvin Ray Allen, Jr. (Julie) and Jean Renee Allen (Don Kidd); his grandchildren, Christopher Ray Allen (Laura) and Raychal Dawn Campbell (Tyler); his stepgrandchildren, Rebecca Murphy (Tom), Charles "Chad" Beaumont, McQuaid Beaumont, Caroline Beaumont, Matt Kidd, Beau Kidd and Marlina Doss (David); his great grandchildren, Tyler Allen, Marissa Allen, Christian Allen, Allaura Smith, Dakota Smith and Tyler Campbell, Jr.; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Raven Deaner, Gabi Deaner, Hannah Ingram, Chace Doss, Austin Doss and Teagan Kidd; his mother-in-law Eva Gowen; and his sister Virginia Bittinger.
