He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret Kinney (Beady); his parents, James Thurmon and Grace Delores Banks; his daughter Katrina Kinney; his stepsons, Roger Kidd (Jessica) and Kevin Kidd (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Kimber and Ashton; his siblings, Cheryl Singleton, Michele Poindexter, Janice Megginson (Kenneth) and Victoria Warner (Byron); his uncle Albert Turner (Gloria); his mother-in-law Ann Baker; his siblings-in-law, Janice Parrish (Kenneth) and William B. Baker (Tiffany); his father-in-law William Baker; his granddaughter Aayliah Raine Kidd; and his niece Jada Pearl Baker.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home (1370 Dixie Airport Rd, Madison Heights, VA 24572). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Scott Zion Baptist Church (2602 Galts Mill Rd, Madison Heights, VA 24572).
