He is survived by: his grandparent Nellie Fitzhugh Carpenter; his children, Robert Carpenter (Katy) of Warren, RI, Richard Carpenter (Donna) of Cutoff, LA and Patricia Nock (Peanut) of Salisbury, MD; his grandchildren, Adam Carpenter of Panama City, FL, Thomas Dize of Machipongo, Pop of Warren, Courtney of Warren, Cody of Warren, Casey of Warren, Chloe Carpenter of Warren, Whitney Whittington and Noah Whittington of Salisbury; his great grandchildren, Logan Marshall of Warren, Colton Carpenter of Warren and Mason Carpenter of Warren; his pet Quinn; his sister Helen Lewis Wilson of Townsend, VA; and his friend Kenneth Webb of Machipongo.
