It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary S. Nelson of Lyndhurst, Virginia, born in Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on November 1, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Nelson and Jeanette Tisdale Nelson; his brothers, Kevin Nelson and Clarence Dudley; and his brother-in-law William Bryans.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Nelson; his children, Mike Bevan (Dawn Bevan), Jessica Nelson, Misty Fitzgerald, Sabrina Wilkins (Andrew Wilkins), Dewayne Nelson and Amanda Moore (Dakota); his grandchildren, Nick Lumm, Gabby Castaneda, Noah Fitzgerald, Wyatt Wilkins and Cohen Fitzgerald; his great grandchild Nova Castaneda; his siblings, Kay Bryans of Stuarts Draft, Floyd Nelson (Georgia) of Staunton, Randall Nelson (Betty) of Crimora and Faye Miracle (Gary) of Ridgeway; and also, Dwight Hensley, Steve Painter and Wayne Campbell.
