She was predeceased by: her husband David Shelburne Wirt; her parents, George Richardson and Walkie Moon Richardson; and her siblings, Mildred Niemeyer, Everett Richardson and Marie Staton.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kimberly Mattox (Jason) of Amherst, Alex Wade of Madison Heights and Nathan Wirt of Forest; her great grandchildren, Paige Mattox, Claire Mattox and Ryder Stewart; and her sister Joyce Smith (Clyde) of Forest. She is also survived by nieces, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory (427 Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Virginia's honor to the Lynchburg Church of the Brethren, 200 Atlanta Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
