He is survived by: his daughter Jacqueline Kirby Tait (Ed); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashlyn and Addison; his great grandchild Vernon Douglas Kirby Jr. (Tammy); his siblings, Shirley Owen and Gaile Eubank (Barry); and his stepchildren, Beth Odell Moore and Scott Andrew Odell. He is also survived by eight step- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory-Lynchburg (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
