He was predeceased by: his parents, Tucker Roy Lankford and Alease Gilchrist Lankford; and his sister Marilyn Lankford Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jacqueline Sarver "Jackie" Lankford; his daughter A. Lynette Lankford Merryman (Robert) of Evington; his grandson Chase Robert Merryman; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Peelish, Melanie Swain, Kevin Anderson and Bryan Anderson.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Robinson Funeral Home (667 Court St, Appomattox, VA 24522). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Hill Memorial Park (5196 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24506).
