She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Seamster and Margaret B. Seamster. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Preas; her children, Crystal Fudge (Tatiana), Timothy Penny (Shelly) and McKenzie Penny (Rachel); her stepchildren, Brittany Pickeral and William Preas Kenneth Pickeral (Brooke Collins); her siblings, Susan King, Connie Glass (Barry), John Seamster, Jr. (Cindy) and Donna Dunn (Billy); and her close friend Derek Pannell. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Compassion Church of the Nazarene (1737 Wards Ferry Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
