She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin J. Paris, Sr. and Myrtle T. Paris; her husband Carl F. Sims; and her siblings, Benjamin Josiah Paris, Jr., John Scott Paris, William Cecil Paris, Malcome Everett Paris and Derlys Paris Almond.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Sims McCarron (Chris) and Jennifer Carl Sims; her grandchildren, Andrew Carl McCarron, Cathleen Anne McCarron and Ethan Christopher McCarron; her nieces, Sharon Kay Garner (Rob), Sherrill Creasey and Deirdre A. Walker (William); and her great-nieces, Rianne Creasey, Ivy Walker (Kyle Miskell) and Colby Shoemaker (Michael).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
