He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Lee Barbour; and his stepfather James Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Rosetta Patterson Howell of Hempstead; his children, Stacey Spinner of Lynchburg, Ralph Waddell Howell, Jr. of Lynchburg, Sean Howell (Tarsha) of Aiken and Jamie Howell (Nicole) of Aiken; his grandchildren, Jordan Spinner, Malaki Spinner, Rodney Spinner, Jr., Asia Napier, Cinjae Howell, Jay Howell, Andrew Howell and Katrell Howell; his siblings, Donna Hobbs (Bishop Wayland) of Hempstead, Geraldine Belton of Lynchburg, Ricky Howell (Mary Joanne) of Hempstead, Joseph Rodgers of Hempstead, Phillip Howell (Vivian) of St. Louis and Vernon Patterson (Marshay) of Brooklyn; and his extended family, Shelia, Phillip Barbour of Naruna, Donnie Mitchell of Richmond, Willie Williams of Richmond and Timothy Jackson of Naruna, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service (304 Lusardi Dr, Brookneal, VA 24528).
