It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Sue Berger of Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Reid and Agnes Lillian Miller Berger of Goode, Virginia.; and her brother David Crispin Berger. She is survived by: her sister Ida Berger Powell (William) of Lynchburg; her nieces, Susan Powell of Arlington and Mary Powell Vartain (Richard) of Annapolis; her nephew John Powell (Sarah) of Ruckersville; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Catherine Vartain Frilund (Henri), Lilly Vartain Williams (Jacob), Julie Vartain, Jesse Vartain, Michael Vartain, Madeline Powell, Lindsey Powell and Kenton Powell; and also Sophia Williams.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peakland United Methodist Church (4434 Boonsboro Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24503). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Free Clinic of Central Virginia, where Peggy volunteered her time, expertise, and care.
