He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Grimes Hodges; his parents, William "Bill" Hodges and Maggie Hammock Hodges; and his siblings, William Hodges, Jr., Samuel Hodges, John "Joe" Hodges (Evlyn), Clinton Hodges, Nannie Kate Turner and Virginia Welding.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Rudd (James) of Lynchburg and Kathy Goff (George) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Brittany Harris (Chris) of Lynchburg and Jeffrey Harris II of Adrien, MI; his great grandchildren, Avery, Brantley and Griffin; his siblings, Betty Hamblett of Rocky Mount, VA, Shirley Bowles of Morristown, TN, Fred Hodges, Curtis "Trixie" Hodges (Joyce) and Walter L. Hodges (Betty); and his sister-in-law Mae Hodges. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
