She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Hood and Virginia Miller Hood; her son William Hood; and her siblings, Lawrence, Andrew, Bernard Hood, Selena Hood Gardner, Geraldine Hood and Nannie Jones.
She is survived by: her daughter Alfreda Hood; her grandchildren, Mark Hood and Jermawn Hood; her great grandchildren, Markia and Mark Hood, Jr.; her siblings, Sophia Suitt and Eugene Hood, Jr. (Jean); her daughter-in-law Paula Hood; her sister-in-law Johnnie Hood; and her caregiver Shirley Jones. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Vine Baptist Church (616 Old Rustburg Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24501).
