She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Taylor Barnes and Belle Cochran Barnes. She is survived by: her sons, Mikel Taylor Griffin (Judy) of Lynchburg, Steven Carl Griffin (Robin) of Burlington, VT and Alton Lloyd Griffin, II (Doris) of Southern Pines, NC; her brother Donald Barnes (Sondra) of Shelbyville, TN; and her granddaughters, Katie Griffin and Emily Griffin.
