He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Cruey Whitt; and his parents, Neil Whitt and Hazel Whitt. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Moore (Meryl), Jeffrey Whitt (Jill) and Jonathan Whitt (Jennifer); and his siblings, Molly and Fred (Lucille). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forest Family Fellowship, James' home church, where his son, Rev. Jeffrey Whitt is pastor.
