He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Andrew Hughes Sr. and Evelyn Moon Hughes; his half-brother Bobby Hughes; and his sisters, Juanita Franklin and Janice Horn.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hughes; his children, Lori Siebel, Kim Hughes Crosby (Jerry) and David Wilson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brett (Jenna), Bailey (Joe), Brianna and David Jr.; his sister Shirley Tomlin; and his sister-in-law Susan VanRemortel (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Timberlake Church (21649 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
