He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Whitfield Hargis and Eunice Mae Brizendine Hargis; his wife Sally Glass Hargis; and his sisters, Cynthia Faye Hargis and Candy Leanne Blake.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Neal Hargis and Shelley Marie Barnhart (John); his grandchildren, Hailey-Ann Essie Woodruff and Benjamin Howe Woodruff; and his cousins, Brenda Nuckles, Donna Dye, Larry, Gary Brizendine of Steve Morris, C. B, Melton and Judie Davis.
