He was predeceased by: his mother Geraldine Johnson; his wife Delores Barnette Toliver; and also Carolyn Coles. He is survived by: his stepfather Henry Nathan Johnson; his children, Gerald D. Toliver Jr. (Lorena Ayala Toliver), Kimberly Lynette Reid (James Reid), Letina Kenyetta Roberts and Michael Harvey; his grandchildren, Justin Lamont Toliver, Andrea Nikkol Toliver, Semaj Reid, Gerald D. Toliver III, Blaike Mercardo Toliver and London Reid; his great grandchildren, Jayden Toliver, Jamirah Toliver and Jayceon Toliver; and his siblings, Constance Toliver, Wanda Dillard, Greggory Johnson (Jeanette Johnson), Nathan Johnson (Nina), Crystal Johnson, Cynthia Johnson and Tony Johnson (Charity). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
