She was predeceased by: her parents, John Viars and Elsie Viars; and her husband Carroll Downey. She is survived by: her children, Curtis (Sherrie) and Brenda (Kenny); her sister Emma Viars Burnett; and her grandchildren, Jenny (Kendall), Carrie Beth (James), Kimberly, Christopher and Hannah. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
