It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudia Lawhorne Tuggle (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Lawhorne and Maggie Lawhorne of Roseland, VA.; and her siblings, Mandred (Rachel), Jenny and Mildred Lawhorne of Roseland, VA..
She is survived by: her husband James Burton Tuggle of Lynchburg, VA; her children, Bonnie Jordan (David LeBlanc), Darrell Tuggle of Wilmington, NC, Susan Kinsinger (Bruce Northrop) and Steve (Kim Tuggle) of Rustburg, VA.; her grandchildren, Jimmy Tuggle (Juli), Johnny Tuggle (Shelly), Garvis Tuggle (Sierra), Etta Tuggle (Steven Conner), Christie Jordan, James Forkner and Travis Forkner (Katherine); her great grandchildren, Baylee, Bristol Tuggle, Conner, Ethan Tuggle, Ryleigh Vance, Beau and Evelyn Forkner; her brother Joseph Lawhorne (Sue) of Nellysford, VA.; her niece Kaye (Harley Burnley); and her pets, Missy and Bichon. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory (427 Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
