It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Parrish Johnson of Lynchburg, Virginia, born in Nelson, Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie A. Parrish and Mary H. Parrish; her husband Swanson J. Johnson; and her son Lee Johnson. She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Stanley (Kent); her grandchildren, Brandon Stanley (Brooke), Lindsey Johnson, Josh Johnson, Scott Stanley, Berkley Smith (Gary) and Alex Thurston (Lauren); and her great grandchildren, Camden Stanley, Kacen Dixon and Kendall Stanley.
