He was predeceased by: his father Willie Walker Mayberry; and his siblings, Ruby Roady, Evelyn Lockhart, James Mayberry and W. Ray Mayberry.

He is survived by: his wife Genelda Mayberry; his son Bruce Mayberry (Darlene); his grandchildren, Everette Mayberry, Ava Grace Mayberry, Jackson Mayberry, Brianna Lambert and Haley Lambert; and his brothers, Clyde Mayberry (Nancy) of Telford and Harry "Buddy" Mayberry (Hilda) of Monroe, Virginia..
