He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Charlie and Mary Eubanks; his former wife Mary D. Coleman; his wife Phillis Penn; and his children, Alon J. Coleman, Jr. and Patricia C. Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Ella Toller, Nancy Anderson (William), Levi Douglas Coleman (Deborah) of Lynchburg, VA and Jean Ferguson of Vestal, NY; his sisters, Mary Grace Penn, Willie Davis (Ernest) and Mildred Eubanks; his grandchildren, Maurice Williams, Denise Brown, Faye Gilchrist (Gary), Sharon Williams, Levi Coleman, Jr. (Tameika), Lewis Tardy, Trevor Ferguson, Brandon Coleman (Melanie) and Cherray Walker; and his daughter-in-law Letha Coleman. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, extended relatives and close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Church of Jesus Lynchburg (219 Jackson St, Lynchburg, VA 24504).
