She is survived by: her former husband Fred Kendall of North Carolina; her children, Jane King, Bill Kendall (Dawn), Sarah Goodman (Scott) and John Kendall (Susan); her grandchildren, Kendall King, Grier Burdell (Michael), Peyton King, Campbell Goodman and Shields Goodman (Candler); her great grandchildren, Jack and Clark Burdell; her siblings, Jim McMillan (Barbara Ann) and Joy Bolton (Larry); and her husband Doug Hamner of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to First Presbyterian Church and Westminster Canterbury, both in Lynchburg.
